NICKLAND Family History (genealogy)
There were reportedly NICHOLES, NICHOLAS, & NICHOLAND in Ringwood in the late 16th century,
and in Cranborne and its Alderholt tything in the 17th century (although I do not have any primary sources as evidence).
History of Alderholt St. James The IGI batch M158571 contains Cranborne marriages 1731-1841, but no baptisms.
The Cranborne Bishops transcripts from 1731 are available on LDS film 1279494 but I found it largely illegible.

Apparent variations include NICKLAND which is used occasionally at Fordingbridge from 1699, at Sopley from about 1766, and at Ringwood from 1783.
NICKLAND is used consistently by my 4XG grandfather James at Sopley from 1780, 'though son Joseph's marriage entry is NICKLEN,
The Hampshire Genealogical Society's (HGS) Marriage Index's earliest NICKLEN entry shows a Henry's marriage to Anne COLLENS in 1718.
