NICKLEN Family History (genealogy) Dorset & Hampshire
There were reportedly NICHOLES, NICHOLAS, & NICHOLAND in Ringwood in the late 16th century, and in Cranborne and its Alderholt tything in the 17th century. The NICKLEN variation occurs at Cranborne & Alderholt in the late 17th & 18th century; the NICKLAND variation occuring in Fordingbridge, Ringwood, and then Sopley.
